| What's
New in Version 6.00
(10/18/2009)
to everyone who contributed comments and suggestions!
I cannot emphasize enough how important your feedback is, so please
keep it coming! Included in the new version are a number of suggestions
from different clubs, and I have a long list of many more good ones
that are on the way. So
with that said, I'm pleased to announce the latest
version of ClubNite Manager. Below is a list of some of the program's
new features:
- New Sparks material
- Added new WingRunner material. Handbook, handbook review and workbook. All reports updated to include the new material.
- User defined toolbox menu
- Added
a user customized toolbar (TearOff Toolbox). Up to 20 menu items
can be added to this toolbar. Items are added by pressing the CTRL and
SHIFT keys and left clicking the menu item or button that you wish to
add to the menu. Items can be added and removed as desired. This
toolbar can also be moved anywhere on the screen, and can also be
"docked".
- (this is the first "version" for this feature and will continue to be polished and enhanced in upcoming updates)
- Implemented continuous clubber handbook updating, similar to the way clubber attendance is entered.
- In
handbook update screens, right-clicking on any tab will switch to
the next tab. This makes moving thru handbook tabs extremely quick.
- Added a column to the clubber browse table that allows "selecting" a clubber by doing a single left-click in select column of the clubber row.
- Also added 'select all' and 'unselect all' options to the right-click menu of the clubber table.
- Clubbers can currently be "selected" and then....
- be purged (permanently deleted)
- be exported to Excel. (this export was previously available but had to export ALL clubbers being displayed)
- be inactivated as a group instead of having to inactivate one clubber at a time, thru the clubber update screen
- (additional options will be added to this feature in upcoming updates)
- A
clubber's current handbook can be accessed from within the Clubber
attendance screen. This makes it possible to check a clubber in and
update their handbook in one step.
- A clubber
purge has been added. You can select a cutoff date and all
clubbers inactivated before that date will be permanently
deleted. Handbooks and attendance records belonging to these clubbers
will also be deleted..
- Clubber Quick Attendance check-in table
- Right-clicking the selected record opens it for editing (a bit faster than double clicking)
- When
finished editing a record a right-click will save the record, close it
and move down to the next clubber (again, a bit faster than having to
move the mouse to the save button and clicking it).
- Leader Quick Attendance check-in table
- A button
has been on the leader table that will display all active leader
positions in a single table from which leader attendance can be done.
.
- Clubber Attendance Summary report - added a leaders attendance summary
- Clubber Table Query Builder
- The
look and feel of the Query Builder has been completely overhauled in
order to make it easier to understand and use. The Query Builder is a
very powerful tool that makes it possible to find a wide range of
information related to your clubbers.
- (reports have begun to be updated in order allow queried records to be sent directly to the report)
- Clubber table
- For attendance check-in, a new small button labeled 'a' was added next to the big 'A' button. This button checks in ONLY the highlighted clubber.
- For handbook processing a new small button labeled 'h' was added next to the big 'H' button. This button processes ONLY the highlighted clubber.
- Clubber Dues Summary report updated and improved.
- Marking a clubber's past handbooks as completed has been simplified.
- From within the clubber update screens, on the handbooks tab, simply
enter a handbook completed date for any book(s) and the program
will take care of marking off all sections within the handbook.
- Added
Quick-Update entry screens for Trek handbooks 1,2,3, Journey
books 1,2,3 ,4 and the HangGlider and WingRunner handbooks.
- Dues paid for the club year can now be checked off from the Clubber table using the feature to select one or more clubbers.
- Registration
Fee paid for the club year can now be checked off from the Clubber
table using the feature to select one or more clubbers.
